Since inception in 1999 UDP has invested heavily in technology and facilities to keep pace with its growth.

UDP’s main milk receival site is at Poowong, 100 km east of Melbourne, Victoria. The facility has an “A” rating Dairy Food Safety programme. This facility is set up to receive, process and deliver milk to our customers requirements. This includes local city milk, cheese and yogurt factories.

The Poowong Depot has a Westfalia AG skimming-separator with self
cleaning bowl and a capacity to handle 25000 litres per hour. This is coupled with a Tuchenhagen product recovery system, (pneumatic pigging system-no water) for the loading and unloading of raw and finished milk products.

UDP also uses integrated technology for testing and results to our farm suppliers and customers.

Our main data capture programme was specifically created for our use by Micro E and allows us to capture all data received electronically by our logistics business, and integrate that with DTS, who provide independent testing of our farm supplier’s milk.
