United Dairy Power provides the Red Sky Business Performance program as a free service to their farmer clients. Red Sky is a software based product that allows farmers to analyse and benchmark the performance of their business. This knowledge can be used to redefine the business, set goals and then attain these goals.

The service provides reports and analysis on each farm as an individual and benchmarks performance against industry peers. It is a very powerful tool for farmers to have access to. Presently UDP is providing Red Sky as a free service to their farmers. If undertaken independently, with a farm consultant, this service could cost more than $1500 to implement.

The program is implemented for farmers by UDP representatives who have completed training in obtaining the data for analysis with RED SKY.

The reports obtained from RED SKY are used to stimulate discussions with farmer clients to ascertain where there are opportunities for increasing profitability and where other specialist involvement might be useful in improving performance.
